Job summary

JBS Prime City Feedlot is seeking a motivated Maintenance Fitter to join our team. You will carry out preventative maintenance, diagnose and repair grain milling and feedlot equipment, and maintain records and stock levels on site.

The role requires trade qualifications, maintenance experience with grain handling, and the ability to work both in a team and independently. Desirable certificates include Confined Space and Working at Heights.

• Relevant trade qualifications and demonstrated suitable experience
• Maintenance experience with grain milling, grain handling and a variety of machinery
• Troubleshoot and problem solve
• Strong work ethic
• Ability to work in a team or independently
• Desirable: Confined Space and Working at Heights certificates

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine preventative maintenance programs
• Breakdown diagnosis and repairs to grain mill, grain receival, heavy plant and feedlot equipment
• General feedlot maintenance tasks including parts ordering, stock control and stocktaking
• Updating maintenance records and job sheets
• Maintain compliance with JBS Australia policies (WHS, HR, QA, Animal Welfare & Environmental)

About the Role

The JBS Prime City Feedlot is currently recruiting for a highly motivated, experienced self-starter to join our dedicated team.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Conduct routine preventative maintenance programs
• Breakdown diagnosis and subsequent repairs to grain mill, grain receival, various heavy plant and general feedlot equipment and infrastructure
• General feedlot maintenance tasks as required, including routine parts ordering, stock control and stocktaking
• Updating of maintenance records and job sheets
• Maintaining compliance with JBS Australia policies, including but not limited to: WHS, HR, QA, Animal Welfare & Environmental obligations

About You

• Relevant trade qualifications and demonstrated suitable experience
• Maintenance experience with grain milling, grain handling and a variety of machinery and equipment
• Demonstrated ability to trouble shoot and problem solve
• Strong work ethic
• Ability to work well in a team environment and individually
• Accredited Confined Space and Working at Heights Certificates desirable (but not essential)
