Job summary

Connect Precision Pty in Melbourne is seeking a hands-on Fitter to maintain, repair and improve manufacturing machinery. You will work with CNC machines, power presses and hydraulic systems to minimise downtime and support efficient production.

The role requires reading drawings, performing preventative maintenance, and collaborating with a practical, safety-focused team to uphold quality and reliability across the plant.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification for mechanical trade preferred.
• Experience with CNC, hydraulics and roll forming machines.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specs.
• Maintenance and fault-diagnosis skills with a proactive mindset.
• Commitment to workplace health and safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventative maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting on manufacturing machinery.
• Maintain, repair and adjust CNC machinery, power presses and roll forming machines.
• Inspect, maintain and troubleshoot hydraulic systems and components.
• Diagnose mechanical and hydraulic faults and respond to breakdowns.
• Assemble, fit, install and modify mechanical components and equipment.
• Read technical drawings and interpret machinery specifications.
