Job summary

BuildRight Construction AU seeks a skilled Maintenance Fitter to join an established food manufacturing operation in Western Australia. The ideal candidate has hands-on thermoforming experience, strong fault-finding skills, and the ability to keep high-speed packaging equipment running reliably.

Experience with MULTIVAC thermoforming equipment is highly regarded, along with the ability to work independently and manage breakdowns promptly.

Qualifications

• Trade-qualified maintenance fitter or mechanical tradesperson.
• Hands-on experience in manufacturing, food processing, packaging or similar environments.
• Proven practical experience maintaining thermoforming machinery.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance across thermoforming and packaging equipment.
• Identify mechanical faults and restore equipment to reliable operating condition.
• Diagnose issues affecting thermoforming, sealing, heating and vacuum systems.
• Maintain forming stations, heating plates and sealing stations.
• Troubleshoot pneumatic and compressed air systems.
• Work with servo-driven machinery and automated production equipment.
• Assist with installation, setup and commissioning of new machinery.
• Respond to production breakdowns and urgent maintenance requirements.

ExperiencewithMULTIVACthermoformingequipmentwillbehighlyregarded,particularlyforcandidateswhocandemonstrategenuinehands-onexperiencewithforming,heating,sealing,vacuum,cuttingandautomatedpackagingsystems.
