About the Role
We’re seeking a skilled Shift Fitter to join our heavy industrial paper manufacturing plant in Smithfield. This is a full-time permanent role on a day shift Monday - Friday.

Reporting to the Maintenance & Engineering Manager, you’ll play a vital role in keeping our plant running smoothly and safely.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on production machinery.
• Working with the production team to ensure minimal downtime.
• Set up and fine tuning of machines for optimal productivity.
• Work with high-speed manufacturing equipment, understanding production demands.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing.

What You’ll Bring

• Mechanical Fitter trade qualification or similar trade with maintenance fitting experience.
• Strong experience in preventative and breakdown maintenance in manufacturing environments.
• Experience in GMP environment and awareness of requirements
• Passion for your trade and commitment to improvements.
• A proactive attitude and commitment to safety.
