Job summary

CDT Sidoli ( Welshpool ) Ltd is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to keep our production facility and infrastructure in top condition. You will predominantly work a day shift from Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm, with the possibility of part-time for the right candidate. Join a forward-thinking team where no two days are the same.

You will be involved in general site maintenance, plumbing, heating, and light building work, contributing to safe, efficient operation of our Welshpool site.

Qualifications

• General maintenance of site services and building works.
• Woodwork tasks such as hanging doors, fitting locks, and frames.
• Plumbing including copper/stainless pipes, soldering and joints.
• Maintenance of central heating systems and minor pipe mods.
• Brickwork, cementing, slabs, and Tarmac repairs as needed.
• Water testing training; water treatment experience advantageous.
• Proficiency in plumbing disciplines including drains and calorifiers.

The Role

As a site Maintenance Engineer, you’ll play a vital role in keeping our production facility and infrastructure maintained to a good standard operating efficiently and safely. You’ll work predominantly on a day shift Monday to Friday 8am till 4pm but part time could be a possibility for the right candidate, your role will be the general upkeep of the building and its services.

What The Job Involves And Preferable Skills

• General Maintenance of site services. Which includes the following
• General woodwork able to hang a door, fit a lock, fit a door closer, fit a window frame etc.
• Able to do small plumbing jobs using copper and stainless pipes with the ability to do solder, compression and crimped joints.
• Ability to maintain central heating systems and perform small pipe mods and fault finding on heating systems.
• Able to undertake small building jobs from time to time which may involve brick work, cementing, slabbing and Tarmac repairs.
• Able to maintain site services, is willing to undertake training on water testing. Having previous experience of water treatment would be advantageous.
• Be proficient in all plumbing disciplines including drains , toilets and calorifiers to name a few.
• Having previous experience with process valves, for steam control, chilled water control etc would be advantageous but not essential,

• Qualified to level 2 (minimal) in an engineering discipline.
• Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem solving.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• A strong communicator with a positive “can do “attitude.
• Passionate about engineering and site maintenance.
• Ideally needs to be a general all rounder who can turn their hand to anything.
