Their fresh vegetables are grown in clean, green Australian fields and packed to natural perfection.

They have an opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join their team in Bowen - North QLD!

This person will be one of two Electricians working in the maintenance team consisting of eight people, to support the packing operation of Beans & Corn and Farm assets (conveyors etc).

Hours:

  • 3:30am starts during the packing season from May to mid December
  • 6am starts during the off season

Remuneration:

  • Permanent position $48.67 per hour
  • ASAP start available

Duties:

  • Lead by example by setting high standards and working towards Mulgowie Farming Company Vision, Mission and Values
  • Contribute to a cohesive team that reflects Mulgowie Farming Company values
  • Foster an environment where safety, quality, productivity and continual improvement are part of everyday activities
  • Understand and comply with all Company procedures, policies, documentation and records, ensuring they are maintained and followed
  • Be visible throughout the organisation by regular communication with your Team and other Senior Managers
  • Work collaboratively to achieve goals at Team, site and Company level
  • Actively support and participate in team meetings such as Operational meetings, Toolbox talks and Training sessions
  • Build a culture where best practice and innovation are encouraged, acted upon and communicated throughout the Company
  • Establish/utilise metrics and periodic review and planning routines across the balanced scorecard to engage personnel and improve performance
  • Take note of performance feedback and act upon accordingly
  • Ensure Management is kept fully informed of relevant decisions, events and activities
  • Have a willingness to support other areas of the business/team as required
  • Any other duties as required or requested by Mulgowie Farming Company

Requirements:

  • Trade/Industry electrical qualifications, minimum Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician
  • Current Electrical Worker's Licence (minimum restricted electrical licence)
  • High voltage switching certificate (desirable)
  • Competent at electrical installation and repair work including motor controls and power distribution
  • Experience with agricultural electrical systems including irrigation controls
  • Forklift Ticket
  • Electrical Trade with instrumentation experience highly regarded
  • Experience with electrical control systems for refrigeration plants
  • Experience with fault finding and repairs on electrical control systems for pneumatic or hydraulic systems
  • Experience with electrical systems for packaging and labelling equipment
  • PLC programming and troubleshooting experience (desirable)
