Austcorp Executive is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Electrician for its Preston, Melbourne operation. You will perform electrical breakdown and preventative maintenance across production and packaging lines, troubleshoot faults, and support reliability initiatives on modern equipment.

PLCs, sensors and VSDs feature regularly in daily tasks, with CMMS records across maintenance activities. The role suits an experienced industrial electrician with food manufacturing exposure, committed to safety

Qualifications

• Trade-qualified Electrician with strong industrial maintenance experience.
• Experience in food manufacturing environments is advantageous.
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Electrical breakdown and preventative maintenance across production and packaging equipment

• Supporting planned maintenance and plant reliability

Maintenance Electrician – Food Manufacturing

Preston, Melbourne | Day Shift| Overtime Available

$55–$60/hr+ depending on experience

A rapidly growing food manufacturing business in Preston is looking to add a skilled Maintenance Electrician to its engineering team.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced industrial electrician to join a growing business with significant investment and expansion plans, working across modern production and packaging equipment.

We’re looking for a hands‑on, systems‑oriented electrician with strong fault‑finding and preventative maintenance experience. Food manufacturing experience, particularly within meat, poultry or further processing, would be highly advantageous.

The Role

• Electrical breakdown and preventative maintenance across production and packaging equipment
• Electrical fault finding, repairs and troubleshooting
• Supporting planned maintenance and plant reliability
• Working with PLCs, sensors, VSDs, motors and automated production equipment
• Recording maintenance activities through CMMS platforms such as MEX, FIIX or similar
• Supporting continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
• Working to high food safety, GMP and WHS standards
• Overtime available at penalty rates

About You

• Trade‑qualified Electrician with strong industrial maintenance experience
• Strong electrical fault‑finding and troubleshooting skills
• Experience within food, FMCG or manufacturing environments
• Meat, poultry or further processing experience highly advantageous
• Comfortable using CMMS systems such as MEX, FIIX or similar
• Experience with PLCs, VSDs, sensors, motors and automated machinery
• Strong preventative and breakdown maintenance experience
• Systems‑oriented with a proactive approach to problem solving
• Strong commitment to safety and food manufacturing standards

What's on Offer?

• $50–$60/hr base rate, depending on experience and skill level
• Rate is flexible and can exceed $55/hr for exceptional or highly experienced candidates
• Day shift: 6:00am–2:00pm
• Overtime available at penalty rates
