Job summary

Trusscore, a Canadian material science company, seeks a Journeyperson Electrician with Red Seal to support maintenance and electrical upgrades across manufacturing lines. The role runs days, with a 7am–3pm schedule, and requires reading drawings, wiring, testing, and servicing PLC controls and VFDs.

You’ll be responsible for electrical installations, preventative maintenance, and safety compliance while maintaining records and coordinating with plant teams.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret drawings, circuits diagrams and electrical code specifications.
• Install, test, replace, and repair lighting fixtures and electrical control and distribution equipment, such as switches, relays, and circuit breaker panels.
• Install, replace, and repair safety circuits, analog process instruments, and digital instruments.
• Install, replace, and repair PLC instrumentation and controls on a wide variety of industrial applications.
• Install, replace, and repair motor starters and VFDs.
• Familiarity with downstream extrusion is considered an asset.
• Familiarity with hand tools.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records.
• Diagnose, locate the cause of, and repair malfunctioning systems and components using test equipment.
• Ensure all work performed adheres to all relevant organizational, provincial, and federal safety regulations, codes and specifications.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Journeyperson Electrician Certificate with Red Seal from Ontario Apprenticeship and Industry Training (or equivalent from another province).

Work Conditions

• This position will be a dayshift from 7am to 3pm Monday to Friday.
• Push, pull, lift, carry, or maneuver weights of up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to spend long periods of time walking and standing.
• Occasionally required to work in elevated places (loading platforms).

Compensation

Hourly Pay Rate range: $35/hour -$45/hour.
