Job summary

Blackbook Recruitment is seeking a hands-on Maintainer/Operator for an energy plant to safely operate and monitor boilers and related equipment. The role involves a rotating 7 days on/off shift schedule with 12-hour days from 5am to 5pm, and a salary range of $90,000–$100,000 plus super.

ACCOMMODATION is provided free when on shift with bills included; this is an industrial cogeneration facility requiring strong safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Experience in boiler operations, plant operations or industrial maintenance.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Background in manufacturing, power generation or process environments is advantageous.
• A strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
• Willingness to work a rotating day and night shift roster.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor boilers and associated plant equipment.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Troubleshoot equipment faults and assist with breakdowns.
• Monitor operating pressures, temperatures and plant performance.
• Complete operational records and shift handovers.
• Maintain high standards of safety and plant reliability.
