About Us:

Working on a monthly publication, our content spans RV travel, lifestyle tips, gear reviews, and club news, and it is supported by an online platform.

The challenge:
We are seeking an experienced Magazine Editor with a passion for RV travel and lifestyle. In this role, you'll be managing freelance contributors, overseeing editorial budgets, and ensuring high-quality, engaging content for our monthly issues. This is an opportunity to take a hands-on leadership role in shaping both our print and digital presence.

What you will do:

  1. Manage freelance journalists and ensure content delivery within budget.
  2. Source and edit articles and images for each issue.
  3. Fully control the editorial budget, making decisions to maximize content value.
  4. Work closely with the ‘Content Lead’ to align the magazine’s direction with the overall vision.
  5. Coordinate with our design team to support the magazine's design process.
  6. Assess current publication practices and propose improvements for content quality and operational efficiency.
  7. Work with the Sales and Marketing team to support revenue creation.

Your skills:

  1. Minimum 3 years' experience in an editor or assistant editor role.
  2. Strong background in magazine editing and content operations.
  3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  4. Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment.
  5. Enthusiastic about RV travel, lifestyle, and related content would be advantageous.
