Job summary

Followmont Transport is seeking an experienced Linehaul MC Driver to join the Mackay Linehaul team, operating a dedicated Mackay to Townsville shuttle on a 4 on, 4 off roster. Starts are approximately at 12:00am, with regular time off and stable linehaul work.

You’ll operate an MC combo, unload at Townsville, and perform pre-start checks while adhering to fatigue management and safety rules. Refrigerated freight experience is preferred; training can be provided.

Qualifications

• Current MC Licence required.
• Current Traffic History Report.
• Previous Linehaul or B-double experience highly regarded.
• Refrigerated or Fridge Van experience preferred; training can be provided.
• BFM accreditation preferred but not essential.
• Ability to complete a Commercial Driver Medical and Drug & Alcohol Screen, arranged and paid for by us.
• Strong commitment to safety, fatigue management and compliance.
• Professional and reliable approach to your work.

Responsibilities

• Transport refrigerated freight between Mackay and Townsville.
• Unloading freight at Carter & Spencer in Townsville.
• Complete some additional freight collections from farms around Bowen during the seasonal period through to December.
• Complete pre-start checks and ensure vehicle compliance.
• Follow fatigue management, food transport, safety and compliance requirements.
