Weir is seeking a skilled Machinist for onsite work in Artarmon. You will operate CNC and manual machines, read technical drawings, and perform quality checks to ensure precise components and safe operations.

Qualifications

Trade qualified Machinist with 2+ years’ experience operating both manual and CNC machining equipment.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, procedures, risk assessments, and engineering documentation.
Strong attention to detail with accurate measuring, inspection and quality control capabilities.
Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety, quality standards and best practices.
Exposure to Lean 6S, TPM and continuous improvement initiatives is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

Operate manual and CNC machinery accurately, inspect completed work, and record dimensional data to required standards.
Complete daily pre-start inspections, machine TPM checks, and thorough shift handovers to maintain safe and efficient operations.
Maintain product quality by managing non-conforming materials and raising reports where required.
Support continuous improvement initiatives while keeping a clean, organized work area in line with 6S principles.
Demonstrate safety first with 100% commitment to zero harm in the workplace.
