Job summary

H-E Parts International Mining Solutions Pty Ltd in Adelaide (Regency Park) seeks a trades professional to join our workshop. This permanent full-time role focuses on planning and executing machining operations, interpreting blueprints and GD&T, and ensuring quality.

Reporting to the workshop supervisor, you will operate lathes, mills and vertical borers, apply CNC knowledge if available, and maintain equipment and safety standards while delivering reliable precision components.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Australia (Fitter & Turner or Fitter Machinist).
• Experience operating lathes/mills/vertical borers and reading blueprints.
• Ability to interpret GD&T.
• Safe work practices and adherence to SOPs.
• Intermediate computer skills for shop systems.

Responsibilities

• Review work orders and blueprints, interpret GD&T.
• Verify settings by measuring positions and sample parts.
• Maintain specifications during drilling, grooving, turning, facing, knurling, threading.
• Ensure QA through measurements, troubleshooting and control adjustments.
• Carry out preventive maintenance on equipment.

The Opportunity

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Trades professional to join our Adelaide (Regency Park) team. In this permanent full-time role, your core focus will be the planning and execution of allocated machining operations. We are looking for someone with:

• Ability to operate Lathes / Mills / Vertical Borer;
• CNC Knowledge would be an advantage;
• Experience machining medium to large components;

Reporting to the workshop supervisor, main responsibilities include:

• Reviewing work orders, blueprint, machining parameters etc, interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
• Verify settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work-pieces.
• Maintain specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations.
• Ensuring Quality Assurance by taking measurements, detecting malfunctions, troubleshooting processes and adjusting and reprogramming controls.
• Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements.
