Job summary

TriCab (Australia) Pty Ltd in Port Melbourne is seeking an experienced Fitter to build production machinery and maintain plant and equipment. The role is permanent full-time with day shift, 6.00am - 2.00pm, Monday to Friday, and offers the chance to contribute to fabrication, maintenance, and project work across our manufacturing operations.

To succeed, you will have 5+ years in fitting and turning with a Certificate III Engineering - Mechanical Trade, plus skills in Arc/MIG welding, lathe and

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in fitting and turning with a mechanical trade qualification.
• Competency in Arc and MIG welding, lathe and milling.
• Experience with electromechanical and pneumatic control systems.
• Valid forklift license is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Machine building and fabrication: attached drawings, machine set up and building, measuring, tool selection, cutting and shaping; welding, lathe work, milling and sheet metal fabrication.
• Maintenance and Support: installation and upgrades, preventative and general maintenance, breakdowns, fault finding/troubleshooting.
• Projects and planning: participate in planning to meet production needs, undertake project work and provide guidance to stakeholders.
