Job summary

KB Seafood Co in Australia seeks an experienced Machine Operator to join the busy team in Canning Vale on a full-time basis. You will operate fish processing machinery, set up at the beginning of each shift, and monitor output to ensure quality and efficiency.

You must maintain HACCP/GMP hygiene standards, keep production records, and report any faults promptly. The role demands teamwork, strong fitness, and compliance with WH&S protocols in a wet, cold seafood environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in Fresh Food Processing environment.
• Understanding of HACCP, GMP, and food hygiene standards.
• Ability to communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Operate fish processing machinery such as packing/cutting machines.
• Set up machines at the beginning of each shift and conduct basic pre-start checks.
• Monitor machine performance to maintain product quality and output.
• Inspect finished products to ensure compliance with company specifications and hygiene standards.
• Report faults or breakdowns to maintenance or supervisors promptly.
• Adhere to all food safety, hygiene, and workplace health & safety requirements.
• Assist with manual handling tasks, such as loading raw materials or packing finished products.
• Maintain accurate production and quality records.

• Previous experience in a similar role in Fresh Food Processing environment.
• Ability to work in a wet cold environment with seafood.
• Understanding of HACCP, GMP, and food hygiene standards.
• Ability to communicate in English.
