Job summary

Real Pet Food Company is seeking confident and enthusiastic Machine Operators at our Somersby Manufacturing Site on the Central Coast. The role involves setting up and running slicers, feeding raw materials like Liver, and maintaining quality and safety on a wet production line.

Ideal candidates will have basic mechanical aptitude, be able to lift up to 20kg, and hold or be willing to obtain a forklift licence.

Qualifications

• Must pass a Pre-Employment Medical and have the capability to lift up to 20kg.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to operate production equipment.
• Forklift licence preferred for material handling.
• Experience on food manufacturing lines is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a team or independently.
• Willingness to perform general warehouse tasks daily and maintain logs.
• Experience with butchery/abattoir environments is a plus.

Real Pet Food Company has built a reputation for the freshest products you can find. Disrupting the market, we are serving real, locally sourced and manufactured pet food - wet, dry, fresh, chilled and treats. No one knows pets quite the way we do!

Our Somersby Manufacturing Site is where we manufacture our animal treats, including our Love 'Em Dried Liver treats for our doggy friends, and we are looking forconfident and enthusiastic Machine Operators to join our Liver Processingteam.

Specifically, this line handles raw protein (red meat) so you need to be comfortable in a 'wet' manufacturing environment.

This role is for Mon-Fri 6am - 2pm.

Key Responsibilities will include:

• Setting up and operating a slicer and other related equipment
• Monitoring production processes
• Loading and feeding raw materials (Liver)
• Performing quality checks
• Adjusting temperature controls for our baking ovens
• Working on the production lines as well as within a cool room
• Troubleshooting issues that may arise
• Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
• Working with raw materials
• Manual Handling
• Some heavy lifting

Skills & Experience

• Must pass our Pre-Employment Medical and have the capability and strength to lift up to 20KG
• Basic mechanical aptitude
• Hold a current and valid Forklift Licence (Preferred)
• Experience within machine operating - preferably with food manufacturing production lines
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work within a team and independently
• Must be willing to perform general warehouse tasks daily
• Ability to maintain production logs
• Experience working within a butchery or abattoir will be viewed positively
