Job summary

Vittoria Food & Beverage is seeking an experienced Machine Operator for our Silverwater NSW location. This afternoon-shift role involves setting up and operating packing machines to meet the targeted output, performing changeovers, and feeding raw materials to ensure continuous operation.

You will troubleshoot issues, complete quality assurance checks, and maintain a clean work area. The ideal candidate has food & beverage manufacturing experience, understands production procedures, and

Qualifications

• Experience in food and beverage manufacturing or packing line machinery.
• Understanding of production procedures and adherence to health and safety regulations.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and have good communication skills.
• High degree of problem solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
• A degree of physical stamina and strength.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate packing machines to achieve targeted output per shift.
• Perform product and machine part changeovers as required.
• Feed/change raw material to ensure continuous operation of machine.
• Troubleshoot and fix issues during the shift.
• Complete all Quality Assurance checks throughout the shift; QA forms/check sheets documented as per procedures.
• Keep work area and machine clean throughout the shift.

About the Role

You’ll report through to the Team Leader and your duties will include:

• Effectively set up and operate packing machines to the required targeted output per shift
• Perform product and machine part changeovers as required.
• Feed/change raw material to ensure continuous operation of machine.
• Trouble shoot and fix issues that might occur during the shift.
• Complete all Quality assurance checks throughout the entirety of operating shift
• Quality assurance forms/check sheets are documented as per procedures and policies.
• Work area and machine are kept clean throughout shift.

About You:

Ideally you will demonstrate:

• Proven experience working in food and beverage manufacturing industry or packing line machinery
• Understanding of production procedures and adherence to health and safety regulations
• Ability to work effectively in a team and have good communication skills
• High degree of problem solving skills and mechanical aptitude
• A degree of physical stamina and strength
