Job summary

SMS Personnel Australia Pty Lt is seeking a machine operator for our Campbellfield plant. You will set up and operate Brake Press and Turret Punch machines, folding and punching light gauge metal parts to SOP.

This role offers an immediate start, a long-term position, and weekly pay in a clean, well-equipped workshop. Only candidates with the ability to read engineering drawings and a strong mechanical aptitude need apply.

Qualifications

• Experience operating Brake Press and/or Turret Punch; training provided for right candidate.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• High attention to detail and mechanical aptitude.
• OH&S compliant and able to work in Campbellfield location.
• Immediate start and long-term position.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Brake Press and Turret Punch machines.
• Fold and punch light gauge metal parts per SOP.
• Read and interpret working drawings.
• Troubleshoot and adjust bending programs as needed.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and quality inspections.

We are looking for a suitably experienced machine operator to join the machine shop team running brake press and turret punch machines. Clean, spacious environment with an immediate start.

Key responsibilities:

• Setting and operating Brake Press and Turret Punch machines
• Folding and punching light gauge metal parts as per SOP
• Working and interpreting working drawings
• Troubleshooting and adjusting bending programs as needed
• Perform routine machine maintenance and quality inspection

Requirements
