Job summary

Labourforce is currently seeking a Labourer/Recycling Assistant in Brisbane to join our growing team. The role requires a rotating roster with two weeks on the Afternoon shift followed by two weeks on the Day shift, with overtime regularly available as the plant operates on a dynamic schedule.

You will learn and operate equipment such as forklifts, chainsaws, pressure washers and a granulator to recycle plastics.

Qualifications

• Forklift licence advantageous.
• Physical fitness to lift up to 20 kg.
• Willingness to complete pre-employment medical.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift to move lengths of pipe to staging areas.
• Use chainsaw to cut smaller lengths.
• Pressure wash and sort cleaned pipes.
• Use granulator machine to recycle plastic (training provided).

Job description

Our client is a manufacturer of plastic piping and are looking to add a Labourer/Recycling Assistant to their current team. You will be required to be available for a rotating roster

We are offering a $31.88ph pay rate (Day Shift) and $36.66 (afternoon shift) with a view to permanency for the right person

Overtime is a regular occurrence, and wages can be based of a 9hr day

Your day will include:

• Use of forklift to move lengths of pipe to staging areas
• Use of chainsaw to cut smaller lengths
• Pressure washing and sorting cleaned pipes
• Use of granulator machine to recycle plastic (training provided)

About you:

• Current Forklift license (advantage)
• Willing to complete our Pre-employment medical process
• Experience operating a machine is an advantage
• Physically fit, as you may need to lift up to 20kgs
• Able to commit to a rotating roster, you will work 2 weeks on Afternoon shift, and then 2 weeks on Day shift
• Able to travel to Geebung
