Job summary

Stahmann Webster in Bundaberg, QLD, is seeking an experienced Production Manager for our macadamia processing site. You will lead daily operations, optimize planning and ensure safety, quality and efficiency across the facility.

You will manage a team of coordinators and team leaders, partner with Quality, Maintenance and Logistics, and drive continuous improvement to meet customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a Production Manager or similar role within food manufacturing.
• Proven experience leading teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of production planning, operational efficiency and continuous improvement principles.
• Experience working with manufacturing equipment and production processes.
• Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Passionate about quality, safety and team development.
• Experience in macadamia processing or the nut industry will be highly regarded.
• Experience with budgeting, cost control and operational performance reporting is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily production operations to achieve output, quality and efficiency targets.
• Develop and manage production plans and schedules to meet customer requirements.
• Monitor and report on key production metrics and operational performance.
• Ensure appropriate labour, packaging and consumable resources are available to meet production demands.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, process optimisation and waste reduction.
• Work closely with the Maintenance team to minimise downtime and improve equipment reliability.
• Champion food safety, quality, workplace health and safety and regulatory compliance.
• Lead, coach and develop Production Coordinators, Team Leaders and production staff.
• Support future factory development, process improvements and operational growth.
• Foster strong collaboration across production, quality, maintenance and logistics functions.
