Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking an experienced Field Specialist III – LWD/DD to operate drilling sites with state-of-the-art technology in Australia. You will monitor well sites, troubleshoot issues, and ensure efficiency for customers while progressing Logging and Directional Drilling capabilities.

The role requires hands-on MWD/LWD expertise, RSS and downhole motor familiarity, and strong problem-solving under pressure. Excellent English and independent work style are essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on knowledge of MWD/LWD tools, RSS, and downhole motors.
• Understanding telemetry systems; attended DD Academy and MWD Academy.
• Demonstrated strong problem-solving abilities under pressure.
• Solid analytical skills with data-driven approach.
• Strong communication skills and fluency in English.
• Able to work independently and manage tasks end-to-end.
• Minimum 3+ years of industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and demonstrate proficiency for delivery of Logging while Drilling & Directional Drilling services at the well site.
• Work in difficult drilling and logging environments to provide complex solutions and manage drilling trajectories.
• Monitor, analyze and evaluate incidents using logging and drilling data.
• Utilize broad knowledge of tool(s) and/or service for data analysis when required.
• Maintain and test tools and equipment used for Logging while Drilling and/or Directional Drilling activities.
• Demonstrate experience of leading, mentoring and motivating teams in a technical environment.
• Conduct activities in accordance with HSE policies, legal compliance and Baker Hughes core values.
• Execute other related duties as assigned.
• Support incident investigations; troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment problems.
