Job summary

Redpath Mining is seeking experienced LV Fitters (Mechanics) to join the maintenance team at the Dugald River Project in Cloncurry, Queensland. FIFO, 2/2 roster, full-time permanent position with a focus on maintenance of light vehicles and ancillary underground mining equipment to maximise fleet availability.

Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, you will service, diagnose and repair vehicles, maintain safety standards, and complete documentation.

Qualifications

• Trade qualified Heavy Duty Diesel Fitter/Mechanic with experience maintaining light vehicle fleets (Toyota/Isuzu).
• Strong fault-finding, diagnostic and troubleshooting skills with auto-electrical knowledge valued.
• Current Manual Driver's Licence and valid First Aid & CPR certifications.
• Well-developed planning and organisational skills; ability to prioritise and complete maintenance tasks efficiently.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled servicing, preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs on light vehicles; assist on heavy equipment as required.
• Diagnose faults, carry out repairs and maintenance to maximise reliability and availability.
• Ensure compliance with site procedures, legislative requirements and safety standards.
• Accurately complete maintenance documentation (work orders, parts usage, inspection reports).
• Participate in pre-starts, toolbox meetings, safety initiatives and incident investigations.
