Job summary

The William Inglis Hotel – MGallery Collection in Sydney is seeking a Banquet & Events Manager to lead weddings, conferences and luxury events within our prestigious F&B team. You will shape memorable guest experiences through hands-on leadership and collaboration with Sales, Kitchen and operations.

You will develop and mentor teams, manage service briefings, drive revenue performance and uphold HACCP, WHS, Accor and MGallery standards in a fast-paced, seven-day operation with RSA certification.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing events, conferences, weddings or functions.
• Proven Food & Beverage leadership experience in luxury hotels or premium venues.
• Strong knowledge of restaurant and banquet operations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to lead, coach and inspire high-performing teams.
• Full working rights in Australia.
• Flexible availability across a 7-day operation, including weekends and peak periods.
• Current RSA certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead the operational delivery of weddings, conferences, corporate events and functions.
• Lead, coach and inspire Food & Beverage teams across events and daily operations.
• Deliver elevated guest experiences in line with MGallery and luxury service standards.
• Partner with Sales, Events and Kitchen teams for seamless event execution.
• Lead service briefings, team communication and operational planning.
• Develop supervisors and emerging leaders through coaching and hands-on support.
• Foster a positive team culture built on trust and accountability.
• Support departmental revenue, profitability and commercial performance.
• Build strong relationships with guests and clients, personalising experiences.
• Support labour management, rostering and operational efficiency.
• Identify opportunities to enhance service and revenue.
• Uphold HACCP, WHS, Accor and MGallery standards across all operations.
