Job summary

Capella Sydney is seeking a passionate Junior Sommelier or Sommelier to deliver exceptional wine service and guest experiences. You will advise guests on wine choices, manage beverage lists, and train colleagues in wine knowledge.

Role involves coordinating with departments, maintaining inventory, and upholding Capella's high standards for service. NSW RSA certification is required, and previous luxury hotel experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor in Hospitality Management is preferred.
• Advanced Sommelier certification (e.g., WSET Advanced or Court of Master Sommeliers) preferred.
• RSA certification required for NSW and hospitality roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide wine suggestions and food-wine pairing to enhance dining experience.
• Lead wine service and manage wine and beverage list.
• Train colleagues on wine knowledge and service standards.
• Coordinate with other departments to run the wine program efficiently.
• Maintain inventory and proper storage of wines and beverages.
