Job summary

Find A Babysitter is seeking a kind, reliable nanny to care for our 7 month old son in Melbourne on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 10:30 am to 5:00 pm. We’d love someone comfortable taking the lead, engaging him with outdoor and indoor play, and initiating age-appropriate activities. Occasional evenings for date nights may be needed with plenty of notice.

Job description

We are looking for a kind, caring and reliable nanny to look after our 7 month old baby boy on Tuesday and Wednesdays between 10:30 am and 5:00 pm. Ideally, we would also love someone who is occasionally available in the evenings for date nights or family dinners (we will give plenty of notice).

Our little boy is at such a fun age and loves being outside (not crawling yet). He is very easily entertained at the moment, even watching us hang up the laundry from below is apparently a great activity! We would love to find someone who genuinely enjoys engaging with him, playing with him, getting outdoors, coming up with age appropriate activities and taking initiative. He is currently a very good napper, which is why we are looking for a later start, and there may be stretches of around two hours while he sleeps.

I will be working from home and my in laws will also be home, so support will always be nearby if needed. That said, we are really looking for someone who is confident taking the lead while caring for him. Most importantly, we would love to find someone he can get to know and form a genuine bond with, and who will become a familiar and trusted part of his routine (as he is slow to trust!).

We would ideally love someone to start soon, but we are not in a rush and would much rather wait to find the right person who is a great fit for our family and our little boy. We are therefore happy to be flexible on the start date for the right person.

Fee is flexible: AUD36-40 depending on experience
