Job summary

Aurizon West Kalgoorlie Container Terminal requires a seasoned Logistics Supervisor to manage daily transport operations, leading operators, contractors and customers. You will drive safe, efficient, customer-focused solutions in a heavy industrial setting.

Key duties include planning and supervising end-to-end transport tasks, capacity management per customer agreements and close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders for scheduling, reporting and incident handling.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in working in a logistics environment.
• High level of skill in supervising transport operations.
• Experience in the transport of Dangerous Goods.
• Extensive knowledge of the Safety Management System and standards.
• Substantial planning and operation-day activities skills; strong communication and conflict resolution.
• Proficient in information technology and reporting systems.
• Previous line leadership in a large-scale logistics/heavy industrial setting.
• Cert IV qualification in Frontline Management or similar is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and supervise the end-to-end operational requirements of transport tasks.
• Ensure capacity management as defined by customer agreements.
• Liaise with operators and stakeholders regarding capacity plans, scheduling and infrastructure works.
• Ensure haulage and heavy equipment activities have high customer service standards.
• Maintain performance reporting for the precinct to meet customer obligations.
• Supervise incident management and assist investigations as needed.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory responsibilities.
