Job summary

South32’s Cannington operation in Queensland is seeking a Logistics Officer to coordinate workforce logistics and support maintenance delivery. The role offers a permanent full-time position on an 8:6 roster with FIFO from Brisbane and Townsville, or DIDO from Mount Isa, Cloncurry and McKinlay shires.

You will manage contractor onboarding, labour requisitions, parts staging and maintenance reporting, ensuring safety and efficiency for the workforce.

Qualifications

• Coordinating logistics, maintenance support or contractor management activities.
• Building productive relationships across operational and technical teams.
• Managing competing priorities whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy.
• Identifying issues and proactively delivering practical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate contractor onboarding, mobilisation and site access requirements
• Manage labour purchase requisitions, service entries and cost tracking activities
• Maintain parts laydown areas and support material availability for maintenance work
• Maintain compliance records, controlled documents and maintenance reporting data
