Job summary

Aussie Locums seeks a locum ASAR registered Sonographer for Manning Base Hospital in Taree, NSW, starting mid-January 2026 for a three-month assignment.

You will handle a mixed caseload (50% General, 50% Obstetrics) with 30-minute general scans and longer obstetric studies, in a hospital environment, Monday to Friday with optional weekends, leveraging Canon i600 and Philips EPIQ 7G equipment.

Qualifications

• Post graduate qualification in ultrasound.
• Proficient in General, Obstetrics and Gynecology ultrasound.
• ASAR Registration required.
• Must be able to manage time effectively in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform general and obstetric ultrasounds.
• Work in a hospital setting in Taree.
• Contribute to a mixed caseload: 50% General, 50% Obstetrics.
• Coordinate with the team to ensure efficient patient care.

Skills & Experience

• Post graduate qualification in ultrasound

• Australian Sonographer Association Registry (ASAR) Registration
• Collaborative team player with excellent time management, communication skills and professionalism
• Post graduate hospital experience

Other requirements

• Current employee police check
• Current NSW Working with Children Check or willing to obtain
• Current evidence of immunisation history and serology results
• Valid Australian working rights
