Job summary

Aussie Locums is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join a regional hospital for a 12-week locum assignment, starting in April. The role covers inpatient, outpatient and community settings within a paediatric/children-heavy caseload.

You will conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, deliver evidence-based interventions and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to promote recovery and independence. Travel and accommodation are provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Registration with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency).
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to meet credentialing requirements.
• NDIS worker screening check.
• Ability to work both independently and within a team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for patients in community and hospital settings.
• Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to promote recovery and independence.
• Collaborate with other Allied Health staff to ensure best outcomes for patients.
• Provide education to patients, families and carers about self-management and equipment use.
• Show strong experience completing Functional Capacity Assessments.
• Work across inpatient, outpatient, and community settings.

Looking to escape the winter and a chance to work and explore Coastal Queensland? Our client is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join their beautiful regional health service for up to 12-weeks starting April.

Inpatient, outpatient and community settings, within a multi-disciplinary team across a paediatric/children heavy caseload.

As an Experienced Occupational Therapist, You will be:

• Conducting assessments and developing individualized treatment plans for patients in community, and hospital
• Delivering evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to promote recovery and independence.
• Collaborating with other allied health staff to ensure the best outcomes for patients.
• Providing education to patients, families, and carers about self-management strategies and equipment use.
