Job summary

Mediix is seeking a Locum Occupational Therapist to join our established allied health service in Darwin, delivering services across Darwin and remote NT communities. The role blends clinic-based work with outreach, backed by a structured team and logistical support.

Based in Darwin, NT, you will work across the lifespan with administration and finance support, and travel to remote communities as needed. This 4–6 month contract starts ASAP, with focus on clinical work and minimal invoicing tasks.

Qualifications

• Qualified Occupational Therapist with current AHPRA registration.
• Comfortable working across the lifespan (children to adults).
• Willingness to travel within the NT and participate in outreach work.

Responsibilities

• Deliver occupational therapy services across Darwin and remote NT communities.
• Work in clinic settings and outreach environments with support from Allied Health Assistants.

LOCUM OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST

Darwin & Remote Northern Territory | 4–6 Month Contract

We are currently seeking an experienced Locum Occupational Therapist to join a well-established allied health service based in Darwin, delivering services across Darwin and remote Northern Territory communities.

This role offers a unique mix of clinic-based work and outreach, supported by a highly structured team and excellent logistical support.

Location

• Primary base: Darwin, NT
• Outreach: Day trips to remote communities, with occasional overnight stays

Accommodation & Transport

• Fully furnished, self-contained apartment provided
• Located approx. 15-minute walk from the clinic or <$10 Uber
• Coles complex 100m from accommodation
• Work vehicle provided for all outreach, school, community and home visits

Caseload

• Work across the lifespan: children, adolescents and adults
• Settings include:
  • Clinic
  • Schools & childcare
  • Aged care
  • Home visits
• Support from Allied Health Assistants

Support

• Full admin and finance support
• No invoicing or appointment bookings required
• Focus purely on clinical work
