Job summary

Liverpool Women's Hospital in Liverpool is seeking a Locum Consultant Anaesthetist to provide high dependency and obstetric anaesthesia services within the Main Delivery Suite. The post includes twilight sessions and a commitment to teaching and training for junior staff, with scholarly activity supported by dedicated SPA time.

The successful candidate will hold FRCA or equivalent and be on the Specialist Register in Anaesthesia, with experience in high risk obstetric anaesthesia and anaesthesia

Qualifications

• FRCA or equivalent required.
• On Specialist Register in Anaesthesia or eligible for
• Extensive experience in high risk obstetric anaesthesia.

Responsibilities

• Provide obstetric anaesthesia for the delivery suite, both elective and emergency.
• Develop and expand high dependency care for obstetric and gynaecology patients.
• Teach and supervise junior anaesthetic staff; contribute to CPD and training activities.
• Participate in research and service development within the Trust.
