Job summary

Quantum Medical Recruitment is seeking a Locum General Practitioner to join a community health service in Port Hedland, WA. The role is on-site, Monday to Friday 9:00-5:00, with available dates to be confirmed by the agency.

About the Role:

This service originated from the efforts of Aboriginal people to establish a health service that addressed the unmet needs of Aboriginal people in the Port Hedland and South Hedland area and surrounding communities. The centre has over 7,000 Aboriginal people registered and are actively engaged and regularly receiving primary care, wellbeing and prevention services and programs.

About the area:

Two hundred kilometres north of Karratha, Port Hedland is famous for its massive resource industry, long trains, big ships and salt piles.

But it’s just as rich in Indigenous culture, pioneering history and wildlife. It’s also a great spot for fishing and crabbing, whale watching and turtle nesting.
