Job summary

Change Medical Recruitment – Melbourne VIC is seeking an experienced Locum Dietitian to join a public health service in regional Victoria. This Grade 2 role offers an ASAP start, 3+ month contract, with full-time preferred (part-time considered) and hourly rate of $55–$65 plus super.

You will conduct dietetic assessments across acute, community and aged care settings, develop tailored nutrition care plans, and collaborate with a Grade 3 Dietitian two days per week.

• APD status with clinical nutrition experience across healthcare settings.
• Ability to conduct dietetic assessments and counselling.

About the Role

This is a varied opportunity to work across multiple sites, providing services to acute, community and aged care clients. This is a smaller health service who receive referrals from a larger hospital.

• Location: Regional Victoria

• Start: ASAP

• Contract: 3+ months, with potential for extension

• Hours: Monday–Friday, full-time preferred; part-time considered

• Rate: $55–$65 per hour + super

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct dietetic assessments and provide evidence-based nutrition interventions.

• Manage a varied caseload across acute, community and aged care settings.

• Develop tailored nutrition care plans to improve client health and wellbeing.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and a Grade 3 Dietitian who works two days per week.

About You

• Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD).

• Clinical experience in nutrition assessment, intervention and counselling across healthcare settings.

• Confidence working autonomously and managing a varied clinical caseload.

• Strong communication, organisation and clinical decision-making skills.
