Job summary

North West Queensland is seeking a motivated Casual Van Driver to join our Longreach pickup and delivery team. This role includes structured training and support to help you succeed in a process-driven environment.

If you're self-motivated and committed to high-quality, detailed work, we'd like to hear from you! You will perform daily vehicle inspections, complete paperwork, and handle loading/unloading of parcels while making local deliveries in Longreach and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• Current Manual C Class License and Forklift License are required.
• Ability to pass criminal history check, pre-employment medical, and drug and alcohol tests.
• Physical capability to lift and carry parcels up to 20 kg.

Responsibilities

• Transporting general freight with pickups and deliveries within the Longreach and surrounding area.
• Manually load and unload parcels from the van.
• Complete daily vehicle inspections and necessary paperwork (pre-start checks, run sheets, PODs, logbooks).

The Job:

• Full-time hours
• Monday to Friday
• Transporting general freight with pick-ups and deliveries within the Longreach and Surrounding area
• Manually load and unload parcels from the van
• Complete daily vehicle inspections and necessary paperwork including pre-start checks, filling out run sheets, PODs, and logbooks

About the Candidate

• Current Manual C Class License and Forklift License
• Ability to pass a criminal history check, pre-employment medical, and drug and alcohol test
• Physical capability to repeatedly lift and carry parcels up to 20kg throughout the shift
• Full working rights in Australia (must be Australian citizen, permanent resident or hold valid work visa)
