Job summary

Housing Australia is seeking a Loan Administration & Operations Manager to oversee the full loan lifecycle, ensure accurate processing, system integrity and regulatory compliance. You will manage loan operations, support obligations, and deliver reporting and insights on the loan portfolio to senior leadership.

You will lead a small team, own the loan management system, optimise processes and collaborate with Treasury, Finance and Legal to deliver Housing Australia's lending programs.

Qualifications

• Extensive loan administration experience, with 7+ years managing loan portfolios.
• Experience in construction and development finance, including staged drawdowns and restructures.
• Proven leadership, with experience leading a small team and delivering quality service.
• Strong systems, analytical and problem-solving skills with loan management software and reconciliations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management; proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related discipline is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end loan administration across the lifecycle, including settlements, servicing, repayments and closures.
• Ensure portfolio compliance, financial integrity, controls, audits and regulatory reporting.
• Lead system ownership for loan management, drive process improvements and provide portfolio performance insights to senior management.

About The Role

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Loan Administration & Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing loan administration across the full lending lifecycle, ensuring accurate loan processing, system integrity and compliance. Partnering closely with Treasury, Finance and Legal, you will manage loan operations, support regulatory obligations, and deliver reporting and insights on Housing Australia's loan portfolio performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Loan Administration & Lifecycle Management: Oversee the end-to-end administration of Housing Australia's loan portfolio, including loan settlements, construction and term lending facilities, drawdowns, restructures, conversions, repayments and loan closures.
• Ensure Portfolio Compliance & Financial Integrity: Manage loan servicing activities, monitor covenant compliance and collateral requirements, maintain key controls, support audits, and ensure accurate reconciliations, reporting and regulatory compliance.
• Drive Systems, Reporting & Process Improvement: Act as business owner for the loan management system, optimise loan operations, develop efficient processes and workflows, and deliver portfolio performance reporting and operational insights to senior management.
• Partner with Stakeholders & Support Strategic Outcomes: Work closely with Treasury, Finance, Legal and external stakeholders to coordinate loan transactions, manage funding requirements, maintain compliance obligations, and support the effective delivery of Housing Australia's lending programs.

Skills and Experience

• Extensive loan administration experience, with at least 7 years managing loan portfolios and overseeing loan operations across the full loan lifecycle, including settlements, servicing, repayments and loan closures.
• Strong expertise in construction and development finance, including the administration of staged drawdowns, facility restructures, and the conversion of construction loans to term facilities.
• Proven leadership capability, with experience leading and developing a small team while driving operational excellence, process improvement and high-quality service delivery.
• Strong systems, analytical and problem-solving skills, including experience with loan management systems, financial software, portfolio reporting, reconciliations and operational controls.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, supported by proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to work collaboratively across Finance, Treasury, Legal and business teams. A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related discipline is required.
