Job summary

Fenix Resources Ltd is hiring a Loader Operator to safely run Komatsu WA600 loaders at Weld Range, WA, on a 2:1 dayshift FIFO roster from Perth. This full-time role supports ROM and Loadout areas, loading 6-wheel trucks and rehandling material to maintain grade integrity.

You will contribute to production targets, follow safety policies, and operate with a focus on efficiency and teamwork in an open pit mining environment.

Qualifications

• WA HR or C Class (manual) driver’s licence required.
• Experience operating WA600 wheel loaders in mining or bulk materials.
• Strong commitment to safe work practices and risk management.
• Ability to work in an active open pit mining operation.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a production-focused team.

Responsibilities

• Operate Komatsu WA600 or similar safely and efficiently in accordance with site procedures.
• Load 6-wheel articulated trucks with material, ensuring correct weight, load distribution, and cycle efficiency.
• Rehandle ore within the ROM, maintaining clean floors, safe stockpile shapes, and correct material segregation.
• Follow loadout rehandle instructions, ensure floors are level and smooth.
• Ensure correct material types are loaded and moved according to loadout plans and grade control instructions.
• Operate ROM loader or articulated trucks when required to support production continuity.
• Ensure correct ROM feed as per crushing blend instruction, maintain ROM floor as per design and free of spillage.
• Conduct pre-start checks, monitor machine performance, and report defects promptly.
• Follow all site safety policies and procedures, maintain situational awareness, and operate equipment within safe limits.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, truck drivers, ROM operators, and any other personnel or equipment in the work area.

Job Description

Location : Weld Range, Western Australia FIFO ex-Perth
Roster: 2/1- Day shift only
Hourly Rate: $57.81 per hour + Super + Company Bonus
Type : Fulltime Permanent

As a Loader Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of front-end loaders, primarily Komatsu WA600 or similar equipment, supporting production activities across the ROM and Loadout areas. The role involves loading 6-wheel articulated haul trucks, rehandling pre-and post-crushed material, maintaining material flow, and ensuring grade integrity.

You will contribute to achieving production targets while operating in accordance with site safety and operational standards. Flexibility to operate ROM loaders or 6-wheel articulated haul trucks as required will be essential. This is a FIFO role operating on a 2:1 dayshift roster.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Current Western Australian HR or C Class Driver's Licence (manual preferred)
• Previous experience operating WA600 wheel loaders or similar, with demonstrated experience loading haul trucks in a mining or bulk materials environment.
• A strong commitment to safe work practices, hazard identification, and risk management.
• The ability to work safely and efficiently in an active open pit mining operation.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills, including effective two-way radio communication.
• A positive attitude and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a production-focused team.
