Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires tertiary degree in Science, Agricultural Science or Natural Resource Management.
• Knowledge of Victorian livestock industries and disease control.
• Understanding of relevant acts and regulations (Livestock Disease Control Act, Food Act, etc.).
• Experience liaising with government, farmers and industry representatives.

Responsibilities

• Conduct disease surveillance and auditing across Victoria's livestock sectors.
• Investigate regulatory issues and appear in court when required.
• Support preparedness and response to animal disease outbreaks.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies for program delivery.
• Maintain and enhance traceability and auditing under national systems.
