Job summary

Wellways Australia Limited is seeking a Lived Experience Lead to strengthen peer practice across our Mental Health and Wellbeing Local. You will provide leadership, supervision and development to Peer Workers, translating lived experience into service delivery and improvement.

You will work with the local leadership team to bring consumer, carer and family perspectives into planning and decisions, supporting growth and advocacy across the program.

Qualifications

• Personal lived experience of mental health challenges and recovery, to inform practice at a senior level.
• Extensive experience in mental health and/or AOD sector, including peer-work perspective.
• Completion or active enrolment in Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work or equivalent.
• Formal IPS training or demonstrated working knowledge of IPS as a practice framework.
• Clearance checks: Police, Working with Children, NDIS Worker Screening or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Provide lived experience leadership, supervision and practice development to Peer Workers.
• Embed lived experience value in service delivery and practice improvement.
• Mentor peer workers and contribute to service planning and decision-making.
• Collaborate with leadership to promote recovery-oriented practice across the service.
