Job summary

Certis Australia is seeking a Control Room Operator in Blacktown to monitor CCTV, alarms and access control in a fast-paced security environment. You will manage live activity, detect incidents and coordinate with on-site teams.

This full-time role requires a Security Licence (1A/Unarmed) and 1E Monitoring Centre Operator, First Aid and CPR certificates, and ability to pass police checks and Working With Children checks. Excellent communication and calm decision-making are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have Security Licence, Classification 1A(Unarmed Guarding) & 1E (Monitoring Centre Operator).
• Valid First Aid Certificate(3 years validity) with current CPR Certificate(1 year validity).
• Able to clear an Australian Police Check.
• Have a valid Working With Children Check.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to monitor multiple systems at once.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor CCTV, alarm systems, and access control platforms to detect and respond to incidents.
• Coordinate incident response, including escalating issues and communicating with on-site teams.
• Maintain accurate logs, reports, and system records for all security activities.
• Manage multiple systems in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong situational awareness.
