McKays Solicitors in Mackay seeks a motivated Commercial Litigation Secretary / Paralegal to join our busy team. You will provide secretarial, administrative and paralegal support to our lawyers on a range of commercial disputes and litigation matters.

Experience in litigation is valued, but strong administrative skills and a willingness to learn are welcomed. Training and support will be provided; the role offers a collaborative, professional environment and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Excellent English including grammar, spelling and punctuation.
• Strong typing, computer and administrative skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.

• Strong communication skills and client-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Draft and prepare legal correspondence, court documents and materials with high accuracy.
• Liaise with clients, barristers, court staff and other legal professionals.
• Manage diaries, court dates, appointments and deadlines.
• Assist with preparing briefs to counsel, court bundles and litigation files.
• Prepare bills, maintain records and provide general administrative support.
