Job summary

Mills Oakley in Perth is seeking a Legal Assistant to support the Commercial Disputes and Insolvency practice. You will assist two Partners and a team of lawyers, handling diary management, document preparation, court filings and billing tasks.

The successful candidate will have 3+ years as a legal assistant in litigation, with excellent communication and strong MS Office skills. This role offers valuable exposure in a leading Australian law firm based in Perth.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years’ experience as a legal assistant in a litigation practice.
• Excellent communication skills with a strong client service focus.
• Ability to prioritise multiple tasks and have a proven history of meeting deadlines.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Diary management and work prioritisation.
• Preparing and formatting litigation documents and correspondence, including amendments.
• Electronic filing of Court documents in all Courts.
• Compiling and maintaining Court document files.
• Compilation of briefs to Counsel and experts.
• File opening and closing, system and matter management.
• Assisting with monthly billing and client reports.
• Document management on legal practice management software.
• General administrative support to solicitors.
