Qualifications

• SC1 Demonstrated expert knowledge of the relevant curriculum.
• SC2 Demonstrated expertise in high impact teaching strategies and using data to measure impact on student learning growth.
• SC3 Demonstrated ability to model monitoring and assessment of student learning and give feedback to students and parents.
• SC4 Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills for engagement with students, colleagues, parents and community.
• SC5 Demonstrated ability to reflect on practice and lead school-based professional learning.

Responsibilities

• Leading and managing whole-school improvement initiatives aligned to the school plan.
• Leading curriculum planning and delivery improvements.
• Providing professional development and development plans for teaching staff.
• Overseeing staff performance and development and conducting reviews.
• Teaching demonstration lessons and observing teachers for feedback.
• Developing and implementing assessment and reporting policies.
• Overseeing student welfare, discipline policies and school operations.
• Developing curriculum in major learning areas and participating in others.
• Handling general discipline matters beyond classroom management.
• Contributing to school leadership and proposals for school council.
