Job description
Security Clearance
  • Must have a Current NV2 security clearance.
  • Must be an Australian Citizen.
  • This will be an Office based role in Canberra.
  • ITAR - You will be required to comply with the US International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR) as the candidate may need to handle export-controlled ICT (hardware and software) products.

We\'re looking for an experienced Linux Technician to help shape secure, automated, and high-performance infrastructure solutions.

What You’ll Do
  • Build, deploy, and support Linux OS across virtualised and hyper-converged environments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex Linux SOE and application integration issues.
  • Apply security hardening aligned with the Australian ISM and zero-trust principles.
  • Contribute to automation libraries and SOP documentation.
  • Work with tools like Ansible, GitLab, YUM, and RHEL 7.x–9.x.
  • Evaluate new technologies and support future-state capability uplift.
What We’re Looking For
  • Prior experience in Defence environments as a Linux Technician.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux servers, virtual systems, and hyper-converged infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with SEA2273 Minerva systems and ADF deployed platforms.
  • Solid understanding of cyber security frameworks and infrastructure governance.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
