Job summary

Xestro is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer – Linux & AWS to operate and modernise our Maroochydore-based production infrastructure. You’ll manage Linux fleet, AWS EC2, and supporting services to ensure reliability of our healthcare SaaS platform.

You’ll join the Platform team, contribute to automation, write runbooks, participate in on-call rotation, and collaborate with experienced engineers to drive security and performance improvements.

Qualifications

• Strong Linux systems administration experience in production environments.
• Experience operating business-critical production systems.
• Hands-on with Apache and PHP in production.
• Extensive AWS experience, including EC2, VPC, IAM, and Auto Scaling.
• Familiarity with Datadog for observability and incident response.
• Experience with infrastructure automation (Ansible, Terraform).
• Experience participating in on-call or production support rotations.
• Ability to document runbooks and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Manage Linux and EC2 infrastructure supporting core production platform.
• Handle patching, capacity management and fleet lifecycle.
• Automate repeatable tasks and improve infrastructure as code.
• Maintain operational runbooks and incident response processes.
• Collaborate with software, platform, and infrastructure engineers.
• Contribute to reliability, security, and documentation improvements.
