Job summary

TasNetworks in Devonport is hiring Distribution Lineworkers to join our Works Delivery team. You’ll build, maintain and restore our electricity network across Tasmanian communities, responding to faults quickly and safely, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.

Qualifications

  • Certificate III in ESI – Power Systems.
  • Tasmanian Electrical Practitioner’s Licence (or ability to obtain).
  • High Risk Work Licence (Dogging, Vehicle Loading Crane, EWP) – or ability to obtain.
  • Live Line accreditation (or willingness to obtain).
  • White Card, First Aid, and Medium Rigid Licence (or ability to obtain).
  • Dual Trade Lineworkers: Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain and restore the electricity network.
  • Respond to faults promptly while ensuring safety and reliability.
  • Communicate effectively with team, customers and the community.

Base salary ranging from $105,807 - $122,117 per annum (plus overtime and super) - total package to be negotiated with preferred candidate based on qualifications, skills and experience

To support our growth, we are seeking interest from skilled Distribution Lineworkers (Lineworker, Live Lineworker or Dual Trade) to join our Devonport team. Working as part of our Works Delivery group, you’ll play a vital role in building, maintaining and restoring our electricity network. These roles are essential to keeping the power on for our communities—responding to faults promptly, delivering safe, compliant and reliable service and communicating effectively with your team, customers and the community.

About You

You thrive in a team environment, communicate well and bring a strong commitment to safety and quality work. You’re proactive, adaptable and community minded. You will ideally bring:

  • Certificate III in ESI – Power Systems
  • Tasmanian Electrical Practitioner’s Licence (or the ability to obtain)
  • High Risk Work Licence (Dogging, Vehicle Loading Crane, EWP) – or ability to obtain
  • Live Line accreditation (or willingness to obtain)
  • White Card, First Aid, and Medium Rigid Licence (or ability to obtain)

As part of the recruitment process, you’ll undergo a medical assessment to ensure the role can be performed safely.
