Key Responsibilities

Your primary responsibility will be to efficiently manage the company’s linehaul operations. This involves carefully assigning drivers, trucks, and trailers to meet customer demands and service expectations.

Other Responsibilities Are

  • Strong organisational and planning skills, with a clear focus on route planning, and fleet utilisation to continually improve efficiencies
  • Actively drive a safety 1st culture by ensuring all COR (Mass, Dimension & Fatigue) requirements are complied with.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills to manage and support the growth of our drivers.
  • Coordinate and manage sub-contractor’s requirements and engagement.
  • Ensuring delivery on our service commitment are met for delivery on time and pick up on time.
  • Experience with transport management systems and dispatch tools
  • Manage costs and budgets to improve business performance.
  • Be pivotal in customer relationship management ensuring internal and external customers are kept informed of any service issues
  • Be action orientated to drive results
  • All incidents, hazards & defects are reported immediately, also contributing to safety investigations and close out.
  • Ensure all OHS legislative requirements are adhered to
  • Develop your team with the purpose of improving performance

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will possess a high level of attention to detail, accuracy and the ability to respond in a fast-paced environment with a positive can-do attitude and strong interpersonal skills. This is an exciting role where the successful applicant will have an opportunity to further their career in a leading WA provider of temperature-controlled transport & logistics and will require:

  • Minimum 3 years demonstrated supervisory or management experience in a similar role within transport.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the legislation and laws relating to the operation of heavy vehicles, transportation, fatigue management and vehicle weight restrictions.
  • Good analytical, reporting, planning skills for efficient route and load planning with high attention to detail and cost management.
  • Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and deal with multiple activities simultaneously.
  • Ability to develop and achieve operational and contractual KPI’s
  • Understanding and application of OHS legislation and safety leadership.
  • Solid experience leading and engaging large teams.
  • Be flexible with working hours.

Additional Information

  • Travel will be required to regional depots in WA.
  • The Linehaul Supervisor is part of the senior management team. You will have a direct impact on the company’s direction.
