Job summary

Otis is seeking a Lift Installation Mechanic based in Gold Coast, Queensland. You will install lifts, escalators and travellators in compliance with codes and Otis procedures, with a 12-month fixed-term contract reporting to the Project Manager.

You will be involved in installation and handover inspections, coordinate with the Project Manager, and travel as required while maintaining safety and quality standards across projects.

Qualifications

• Experience in Adjustment/Commissioning would be beneficial.
• Working with heights and basic rigging; valid driver’s license.
• Australian working rights; lift experience.
• Ability to work safely in teams or independently.
• Strong stakeholder communication across levels.
• Solutions-oriented, independent and well organized.
• Willing to travel in/out of the region and work unsupervised.
• Ability to transfer knowledge through training and plan/prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities

• Install new equipment and modernise lifts, maintaining safety and quality standards.
• Coordinate with Project Manager to complete defects and handover inspections on schedule.
• Maintain tools, equipment and materials in good condition.
• Work to lift industry codes and Otis specifications and procedures.
• Follow Environmental Health and Safety policies; report incidents.
• Maintain and improve the Quality System.
• Attend customer handover and service inspections on installations and projects.
• Identify process improvements to enhance customer satisfaction.
