Job summary

Infinite Aged Care is seeking a dedicated Lifestyle Assistant to support residents with personal care and help them stay engaged in social and leisure activities in our Tweed Heads care home. You will collaborate with nurses and resident engagement teams to deliver compassionate, resident-centred care.

Ideal candidates will have empathy, strong communication, and a willingness to work flexible part-time shifts, including weekends, with transport access necessary for the role.

In this rewarding role, you'll support residents with personal care while encouraging participation in meaningful lifestyle programs, social activities, and one-on-one engagement. You'll help foster connection, promote wellbeing, and create moments that truly matter.

This role based at our Tweed Heads care home, will see you working closely with the nursing and resident engagement teams when performing your resident-centric care duties in a timely and compassionate manner surrounded by highly skilled and supportive senior carers and managers. About You

At Infinite Care we hire for heart, so our best people are highly empathic, instil a strong work ethic and passionate about making a difference to the elderly. Ideally, you have worked in the Aged Care sector for at least 1 year and the ability to "think on your feet", communicate effectively, build rapport, and maintain professional relationships with residents and co-workers alike. In addition, you will also

• Certificate III in Individual Support, Leisure & Lifestyle, Health Services or a similar qualification advantageous (however, not mandatory for this role)
• Previous experience in Aged Care, Lifestyle or similar role (minimum 12 months preferred)
• Current First Aid & CPR Certificate (preferred)
• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or willingness to obtain)
• Understanding of person-centred care and resident wellbeing
• A positive, energetic, and compassionate approach
• Strong teamwork, communication, and time management skills
• Commitment to maintaining a safe environment for residents and colleagues
• A genuine passion for making a difference in aged care
• Display a positive, fun and confident personality to help our residents (*who sometimes can be very shy) to get involved in lifestyle and group activities.
• Own vehicle or private transport is a MUST for this role, as public transport is not easily accessible

Our care roles are busy! Alot of bending, lifting, pushing and squatting to perform your duties safely. All candidates will be required to complete an online medical assessment to maintain personal and workplace safety standards.
