Job summary

Mercy Health, Ballarat, is seeking a Lifestyle Assistant on a casual basis to support residents with engaging lifestyle programs and compassionate care. You will join a team dedicated to enhancing residents’ daily living and well-being in a warm, respectful environment.

Applicants should demonstrate strong time management, organizational and communication skills, with flexibility to adapt. Evidence of police check and working rights may be required; salary is up to 34.50 AUD per hour plus

• Excellent time management, organizational and communication skills, with the ability to be flexible, to adapt well to change and be able to adeptly problem solve
• Preferable memory support unit experience and understanding of the lifestyle needs of residents who are cognitively impaired
• A compassionate, flexible and positive approach to effective resident emotional and spiritual care and management
• The ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment

About the opportunity

Our well established and successful lifestyle team are looking for that last person to finish off the group. We need someone who is working towards their qualification or is an experienced and qualified Lifestyle Assistant. Our residents love their lifestyle program activities, so you will be joining a team who makes a difference to vulnerable members of society each and every day.

What you’ll bring

You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:

• Recent police check
• Experience in a similar role
• Passport, birth certificate and/or working rights in Australia
