Job summary

NSW Ambulance in Eveleigh is seeking an Emergency Call Taker to join our critical control centre team. You will be the first point of contact for the community, guiding callers with calm, accurate advice and coordinating rapid responses as part of a dedicated 24/7 roster.

The role requires strong multitasking, empathy, and tech-savvy problem-solving, with training and relocation to Sydney Olympic Park planned for 2027.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
• Strong listening and reasoning skills to handle emergency calls.
• Ability to maintain composure and provide clear guidance under stress.

Responsibilities

• Receive and log emergency calls to the Triple Zero (000) system.
• Provide lifesaving first aid guidance and support until paramedics arrive.
• Record information accurately and progress calls through the emergency response process.
